Summary
In Beerus' castle, Champa decides that the tournament should be held on the Nameless Planet, sitting in neutral infinite betwixt Universe 6 and Universe vii. Yet, Vados states that the planet is nearby a little lord's day and the planet has no atmosphere. Champa tells Beerus he will deal with the planet because Beerus points out, it is his problem. Champa also wants to determine on the rules ahead of time. Goku suggests that they use the rules from the World Martial Arts Tournament: a person loses if they surrender, killing is non immune, and whoever falls out the band is counted out. Vegeta besides suggests that enhancements and weapons are non immune also, and he even says that a simple exam would be permitted because he doesn't want idiot fighters participating. Both Beerus and Champa agree to the rules. Champa says that the tournament is 1 week from then at 7PM on the eighth solar calendar, which is five days. Bulma wonders why Goku thinks the tournament is more important than the universe but Goku really wants to meet Monaka.

Differences from the manga
- In the manga, Goku, Vegeta and Beerus decide on the Universe 7 Squad whilst still on Beerus' Planet. In the anime, Monaka is decided while on Earth and the others later.
- In the anime, Beerus and Whis get back to Globe forth with Goku and Vegeta where they eventually summon Shenron. In the manga, Beerus and Whis never go to Globe and Shenron is never summoned.
- Piccolo is in the scene with Goku and Vegeta while they are in Bulma's laboratory. In the anime he is not.
- When Tights is shown, in the anime, she is at a embankment somewhere but in the manga she is on Omori's Island from the Jaco manga.
Trivia
- The Dragon Balls being active suggests these events take place a year after Frieza was revived. Even so according to Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 2, the Golden Frieza Saga and the Universe 6 Saga both accept place in Historic period 779.
